Key  drivers for the growth in Government and ID : Technology & Applications

Synopsis: In the context of Identity world, the security of the digital information and the internet transactions is a big challenge for Governments, Business and citizens.

As of today a lot of ID programs have been deployed in a large number of countries.

In parallel of such National / Government deployment, we see some needs to integrate private sectors as well, following the boom in social networks and online transactions.

Citizen are expecting user friendly solution on one hand but also high level of security and protection of personal sensitive information and multiple identities on the other hand.

The use of Mobile Secure Object (Smart Secure Device included in a Token/Mobile or Smartcard..) is still confirmed as the best way to support traditional usage of identity documents as well as multi-applications linked to private sectors.

For each application (Public or Private), the Mobile Secure Object must provide three (3) main functions as Identification , Authentication and electronic Signature.

Synopsis: The identity management has progressed towards automation, which implies, there are no or lesser human intervention for identity management.  The science of Biometrics has evolved over past century, and is being brought into automation /computerized form in past few decades. Whenever the National ID project has to be rolled out, it must have a back up of an effective identity management at every level of deployment. This presentation will bring out evolution of biometrics, types of biometrics and methods employed for identification.
